Alfredo Light

My mom sent me a link to this recipe and it is a great one!  It is a lighter version of alfredo sauce.  It is worth a try!  I made a few changes, but you can view the original recipe here along with the nutritional information.

Alfredo Light

*This recipe is halved to serve 4 people*
Ingredients
1/2 --1 teas. minced garlic (depending on how much you like)
1 cup milk
1/2 cup chicken broth
1 1/2 tblsp. flour
1/4 teas. salt
1/8 teas. pepper
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
grilled chicken or broccoli, optional
Directions
In a small saucepan, stir together milk, chicken broth, flour, salt & pepper over med low heat until smooth and thick.  (if it is taking a long time just increase temperature) Stir in garlic.  Continue to cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the sauce is thick.  Stir in parmesan cheese and remove from heat.
